Tonic attracts a mixture of young professionals and college students. The bar is filled by a young crowd turning out to have a good time on the weekends, and enjoy themselves with a little music and some standard American grub.

Well-scrubbed youths pile in to cut loose, and one of the first things you'll notice about the crowd at Tonic is how happy everyone is to be there.

This isn't a bar for hipsters to mourn the Nietzsche-esque aspects of the meaningless, consumer-driven society or for stressed-to-the-max overachievers to worry about the next big thing.

Down to earth young people come here.Enjoy the laid back, enjoy-yourself attitude and atmosphere of Tonic.

Tonic serves up domestic draft beers, martinis, and everything in between, so no matter what your taste, you'll be satisfied - something that also applies to the food at Tonic.

Martinis are served up in stylish, stem-less glasses. From low brow to high class there are drinks that run the gamut, keeping everyone satisfied.

Getting the bartenders' attention can take some time. The crowd around the bar gets thick and you can wait a while before you get a drink.

Once you've secured the attention of the people behind the bar, order your drink quickly, say thank you politely, and move away from the bar. Because the line for drinks at the bar gets long, you might be better off getting a table and ordering through a waitress.

Tonic has a swanky, but not too swanky, appeal. The large bar has plenty of seating all the way around on comfy stools, and the booths lining the walls are the perfect perch to people watch. The fireplace in the front window is a cozy touch and the couches are highly-coveted seats for lounging. It also serves to accentuate the comfortable atmostphere.

Tonic has a full kitchen and serves up typical American fare. The specials are all reasonably priced and the selection has enough variety to allow even the pickiest eaters to find something to satisfy them.

On the weekends, Tonic opens up the doors and in come the crowds. The music on Saturday nights is controlled by an electronic jukebox. With your fellow bar-goers picking the tunes, The Cure is followed by Toby Keith; there's always a wide mix of music to complement your evening.

For a low-key time with music, food, and drinks to satisfy, Tonic is a welcome and easygoing respite.
