Passionate Cosmo
3 ounces vodka
1 ounce passion fruit juice
1 ounce simple syrup
1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
So, Valentine's Day may be over, but who says you can't keep enjoying some delicious lover's cocktails? Whether you're a fan of Valentine's Day or not, you are certain to love the Passionate Cosmo.
The Passionate Cosmo is a new take on an old classic - the Cosmopolitan. The substitution of passion fruit juice for cranberry adds a new fruity kick to this bev. This drink is perfect for Valentine's Day - it is said in some cultures that after eating a passion fruit, you will fall in love with the next person you make eye contact with.
This recipe, as well as many other cocktails, calls for the addition of simple syrup. Simple syrup can easily be made by heating equal parts sugar and water until the sugar dissolves, and then chilling it.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour the vodka, passion fruit juice, syrup, and lime juice into the shake. Shake until combined and chilled - you know the cocktail is ready when the shaker mists up a bit. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and enjoy.
Just be careful who you make eye contact with after enjoying this fruity bev. Drink up!
