Ingredients:
½ ounce vodka
½ ounce gin
½ ounce tequila
½ ounce rum
½ ounce blue curacao
½ ounce Razzmatazz sour mix
So it's Halloween this weekend. I'm sure you remembered, but in case you were trying to forget, here's a drink for you. The Grateful Dead is a frightening mix of vodka, gin, rum, tequila, blue curacao, and Razzmatazz and tastes a little bit better than a Long Island iced tea (a freshman delight). Because there are so many different alcohols involved, your best bet to get a well-made Grateful Dead is at your favorite bar.
Now what makes the Grateful Dead particularly unique is the use of color. Initially, pour in half a shot each (½ oz.) of vodka, gin, rum, and tequila. From there, fill the glass almost to the top with sour mix, leaving a little room for about one more shot. After shaking the glass well to ensure the proper mixing of alcohols, pour about half a shot of both blue curacao and Razzmatazz on the top and watch the tie-dyed colors slowly sink through the rest of the mix. This drink is not only to be enjoyed for its practical purposes, but its aesthetical value as well.
