My favorite unconventional couple called it quits on Tuesday. Amid recent rumors of a breakup, Holly Madison confirmed that it's over with the ultimate playboy, Hugh Hefner. The confirmation came courtesy of TMZ when a cameraman asked if she could get him into the Playboy Halloween party. Madison responded, "I have no pull anymore. Hef and I aren't together."
Holly mentioned that the show Girls Next Door is still filming, and she is having fun with housemates Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. For fans of the show, the split doesn't come as a big surprise. Hef and Holly had very different pictures of their future. Hefner even admitted to Us Weekly, "She wants very much to get married and have children. That isn't very much in the cards for me."
After news of the split broke, Madison took to her MySpace page. Citing her current mood as lonely, the ex-girlfriend says she will remain friends with Hef forever. She is still living at the Mansion, but does have her own place that she is getting ready to move into. Holly admitted that the breakup will appear during the fifth season, but then called herself out on the shameless plug. Now I actually have a reason to watch the show.
On Monday night, new mom Nicole Kidman attended Elle magazine's 15th annual Women in Hollywood Event. The magazine's current cover girl joked about three-month-old daughter Sunday Rose: "She is smiling. She is reading the encyclopedia." Kidman said she wants her daughter to marry Russell Crowe's son Tennyson. "We had a play date about a month ago, and were like, 'these two would be really cute together.'"
In the past months, tabloids have featured a barrage of new celebrity babies, but moms like Halle Berry and Kidman seem to be bucking the trend. "When it comes to my kids, I'm just like a lioness. That's why we chose not to sell photos of her. We just want to have our little cocoon."
Another new mom, Gwen Stefani, celebrated her 39th birthday on Friday with an at-home dance party. The outdoor party had about 100 guests, including Ellen DeGeneres and new wife Portia De Rossi. One guest commented on the abundance of '80s music, and said Stefani looked great. "You'd never guess she'd had a baby six weeks ago." At the end of the night, Stefani enjoyed a cake decorated with a plethora of pink candles.
