Oh, boy, is there a lot of gossip to catch up on. It has been two weeks since I last threatened to injure Kim Cattrall and dished on the TomKat wedding.

Well, that era has passed and there is a hot, new engaged couple in town. On Nov. 30, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker announced that they were indeed engaged. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was reporting (more like celebrating) their breakup. On Sept. 29, the couple had released a statement that "they are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future." Man, do they move fast.

One indicator that this wedding may take place comes in the form of a tentative wedding date. The pair plan to wed in France, Parker's native homeland, next summer in a "big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends." Longoria admits that she plans to remain with Parker "forever." Well, congratulations Eva and Tony. Why don't you just get through the engagement first and then work toward "forever?"

One of my personal favorite celebrity couples, Heidi Klum and Seal, welcomed their third child on Nov. 23. A boy, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, was born in Los Angeles and is "healthy, beautiful, and looks just like his mother," according to a post by Seal on Heidi's personal Web site.

Johan is the third child for Heidi and her second with Seal. They also have a son Henry who is one year old. Klum has a daughter, Leni, 2, from a previous relationship with the Formula One manager Flavio Briatore. Seal, however, has been the main father figure in Leni's life. He and Klum began dating while she was pregnant, so he was present for Leni's arrival. Heidi has always boasted that she and Seal would love to have a big family and it looks like they are well on their way. Congratulations to the entire family.

This week, Gwyneth Paltrow learned that she needs to go back to elementary Spanish. Rápido. On Sunday, Paltrow was quoted in the Portuguese publication Diario de las Noticias as saying, "I like living here [England] because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans." Well, obviously, that upset us barbaric Americans and we made a big fuss. So the following day, Gwyneth did a little apologizing. She told People magazine that she was "deeply upset" about the remarks that were printed and she would never say anything derogatory about her native country. What she had tried to say was, "Europe is a much older culture and there's a difference. I always say in America, people live to work and in Europe, people work to live. There are positives in both." Paltrow also denied ever giving an interview to the daily Portuguese newspaper and claims she was doing an endorsement in Spain.

I guess I believe her. The thing that bothers me the most is how she claims "she always says" that in America people live to work. I have never heard her say that or anything of the like. Maybe she talks economic lifestyles in private. A little advice: if you don't know Spanish, hire an interpreter.
