1. Boston Urban Arts Festival

From visual to literary and performing arts, the first Boston Urban Arts Festival will offer a unique view of the underground art scene in and around Boston. The festival starts Dec. 8, at the UMass-Boston Campus Center.

2. Open Mic Night

French Press Coffee (the coffee house next to the BC T stop) is hosting its first open mic night. For all of you who like to read, write, or just listen to poetry, grab a cup of coffee and come support BC's emerging artists on Dec. 6 from 8-10 p.m.

3. Inflatable Night

Human football, sumo wrestling, bungee run, speed pitch, and the mega-bounce! No, this is not your little brother's birthday party, it's Inflatable Night at the Plex! Take a break from the horrors of finals and come enjoy free popcorn, cotton candy, soft pretzels, and mini-donuts on Saturday night.

4. "A Dancer's Christmas"

World-renowned choreographer Reverend Robert VerEecke presents "A Dancer's Christmas," a celebration of the power of Christmas spirit. Enjoy a combination of everything from modern ballet, to traditional folk dances, and Irish step dancing, on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Robsham Theatre.

5. Jingle Bells Asinine Smells

BC's only sketch and improv group is sure to bring loads of laughter in their first performance on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Fulton 511. The comedy troupe was founded in 2001 and has performed around Boston ever since.
