John Krasinski, known for his role as Jim Halpert on NBC's comedy The Office, is an artist of many talents. He is a native of Newton, Mass., and a graduate of Brown University, with a degree in playwrighting. Krasinski has appeared in commercials, guest starred in numerous popular television shows, and performed in several off-Broadway productions. He has also had experience with script writing and directing. Through his portrayal of the likable prankster sales rep at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, Krasinski has earned the reputation as one of TV's most entertaining new comedy actors. On The Office, Halpert adds to the dysfunctional dynamic of the work place in his role as the facilitator of the antics organized by some of the more outrageous characters. Krasinski's dry humor is a perfect complement to the show, coinciding with the silly humor of the other actors, particularly Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson. Recently, Krasinski has also taken his talents to the big screen, performing roles in films such as Leatherheads and License to Wed.
