Women' s soccer: Duke's upset victory in women's soccer over No. 1 North Carolina last week did more than put the Blue Devil's on the radar, it helped Rebecca Moros achieve Player of the Week honors in the ACC.
Moros had her first two-goal performance of her career, giving the Blue Devils all the goals they needed in the 2-1 victory in Chapel Hill, N.C. The loss was the Tar Heels' first of the season and only the second to Duke in school history.

Men's soccer: Virginia Tech's freshman phenom Patrick Nyarko was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week yesterday for his performance in the Hokies' two shutouts.
Nyarko scored the game winning goal in each of the victories over Liberty and No. 4 North Carolina. In each game, the final score was a 1-0 Virginia Tech win.
The freshman hails from Kuntase, Ghana and was one of four first year athletes selected to the Soccer America Team of the Week.
He was all the offense the Hokies needed to deliver UNC its first loss of the season. The win was also the first time ever that Virginia Tech topped the Tar Heels and helped them get back in the national rankings.
