Boston College's Men's and Women's track and field squad competed in the ACC track and Field Championships in College Park, Maryland.
Both teams struggled to compete with the other squads, as the men collected only four points in the competition and finished in 12th place, and the women's squad collected 18 points and also finished in the 12th spot.
On the women's side, on day one of the tournament junior Nicole Tufts finished in ninth with a time 35:04.16 and teammate Jessica Flinn, a senior, finished in tenth with a time of 35:30.10 in the 10,000 meter run. On day two, in the 800 meter qualifiers, freshman Caitlin Bailey finished first with a time of 2:07.67. in the 1500 meter qualifiers freshman Jessica Driscoll finished third with a time of 4:34.02.
Senior Kristen Coon finished sixth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:38.45. In the 10,000 meter run Junior Nicole Tufts finished ninth with a time of 35:04.16 and senior teammate Jessica Flinn finished one spot behind in a time of 35:30.10. On the final day of the tournament, freshman Jessica Wilson finished in 9th place in the 1500 meter run in 4:31.41 on day three of the competition. In the 5000 meter run junior Nicole Tufts finished 9th with a time of 16:55.46. The 4x100 meter relay team of freshmen Meaghan Callahan, Teyahnie Boone, Miriam Khan and junior Tiana Riel finished in eighth place with a time of 48.00.
On the men's side on day two in the high jump senior Louis Canelli finished in ninth, topping out at a height of 1.95 meters. junior Patrick Mellea finished sixth with a time of 3:49.67 and teammate Jeremy Zagorski, also a junior, finished in eighth with a time of 3:50.15 in the 1500 meter run.
