November 7, 2000 10:05 a.m. – An unoccupied vehicle rolled down Fr. Herlihy Terrace and struck the curb, causing extensive front end damage. State Police aware notified and requested BCPD officers handled the incident.
12:20 p.m. – Officer/EMT responds to a guest who suffered a seizure in the Kenny-Cottle Law Library. Oxygen and first aid were administered. After he was stabilized he was transported to Beth Israel via ambulance.
11:18 p.m. – Officer investigates a motor vehicle in the Plex parking lot that was blocking traffic. The driver was identified and given a trespass warning. The vehicle, which was not legally registered, was towed and the plates confiscated.
November 8, 2000
10:50 p.m. - Sergeant confiscates a pipe from a student smoking marijuana outside the police station. A report was forwarded.
November 10, 2000
2:431 a.m. – Officer observes three students outside Fitzpatrick tampering with a BC golf cart. After a short evaluation, one 18-year-old male student was sent to the infirmary due to intoxication. The other two were sent on their way.
2:51 a.m. – Officer observes two more students tampering with a BC golf cart. Both were sent to the infirmary 7:07 p.m. – Patrol takes a report from a student that his green Dodge Caravan window was broken in the Plex parking lot. It appears to be vandalism only.
November 11, 2000
2:56 a.m. – BCPD and Newton Fire Department respond to a fire alarm in Kostka with smoke in the corridor. Investigation found that a student had found his trash bucket smoldering and had to put out the fire in the restroom. The smoke had caused the alarm. The 19-year-old student was transported to the infirmary due to intoxication and a quantity of alcohol was confiscated.
November 12, 2000
3:35 a.m. – Officer observes a suspicious person in Fulton Hall. The suspect had previously been given a trespass warning. He was placed under arrest and charged with trespassing, booked at BCPD and transported to Newton PD to be held pending bail.
7:32 a.m. – Officer responds to a report of homophobic graffiti written next to a student’s door in Loyola. Investigation found no suspects, the area was cleaned and a detective will follow up.
November 13, 2000
9:37 a.m. – Officers respond to a report of a motor vehicle accident outside Rubenstein. On arrival, a student driving an RV was found to have backed into a BC vehicle.
11:23 a.m. – Officer responds to the Campus School on report of a special needs student in respiratory distress. Medical aid is rendered and an ambulance transported the victim to Boston Medical Center.
November 14, 2000
3:18 a.m. – Officer observes a suspicious male walking in the residential area outside the College Road dormitories. The male is stopped, identified, and advised the officer that he missed the last “T” and was out for a walk. He is issued a trespass warning and escorted from the area. Information is passed along to Newton PD detectives.
5:10 p.m. – A student in Edmonds reports odor of marijuana coming from the vent in her room. Other students nearby report the same. The source of the odor could not be determined.
6:18 p.m. – Officer responds to a student in Merkert with a laceration to his finger. He is found to have sustained a deep cut to his finger from a broken beaker in the lab. The victim is transported to the hospital for sutures.
November 15, 2000
1:14 a.m. – Officers respond to a report from a BCDS supervisor of two employees stealing food items from McElroy. Officers locate suspects. A quantity of items belonging to BCDS are removed from their vehicle and they are issued a trespass warning.
