As senior year is already a month old, I can already feel the winds of change beginning to blow. While I know that Boston College will survive beyond my time here, I fear that the traditions and the standards that we held dear will be washed away by the sands of time. I know of only one man, brave enough to protect the traditions we so cherish, freshman Ryan Morrison (A&S '10). From his days in Nebraska, one of the most tradition-bound states in the union, Ryan knows too well how change can destroy. "You know corn used to be our number one crop, and now it is soy!" says Morrison. "What's next? Sorghum?" Though change is a necessary evil, it seems to me that there are some standards that should be upheld to protect the true identity of this University. Thus I call on you, Mr. Morrison, to protect the last great tradition of the senior class.
