Feminists say knowledge is the key to understanding women's movement

Feminism. The word alone ignites strong reactions from students on campus. Jim Rizzolo, A&S '05, immediately responded to the notion, "I guess there's a lot of anger involved in that term." His belief is based on the popular conception of feminism, which, he said, is portrayed as women who are angry with men.

Time to relax

Binge drinking, random hookups, no schoolwork, people flashing. No, it's not another weekend at Boston College - it's spring break. And it's almost here. I'm heading to the Bahamas, and to be honest, all I want to do is sit on the beach and relax. I want to drink those fruity drinks with the tiny umbrellas that normally would provoke a punch in the mouth from my buddies but mysteriously become acceptable while sitting on some lounge chair staring at all of the sweet dudes hitting on the girls.

One day I decided to count all the people I saw wearing Ugg boots on my way from Campion to McElroy. How many people? Twelve. That's a lot of people and not a very big distance. "Look how many people play into that mass society garbage," I thought snottily to myself.
