On the eve of the release of his two new albums, Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and friends stopped in at Harvard's Sanders Theater on Monday night to turn in a show that was equal parts cathartic, emotional, self-indulgent, and intense. Touring in support of the folksy I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, Bright Eyes also brought along Tilly and the Wall and Coco Rosie to perform to a packed house.

DiFranco is more authentic on new collaboration

4 Stars With the release of a new album every year since 1991, Ani DiFranco has managed to continuously please her fans. Each CD takes a new musical direction while somehow maintaining the folk-rocker's roots that have made her so popular. Sometimes these projects are hits for all tastes, but recently her albums have only been appreciated by those dedicated fans who've been with her for a while.

Tonic attracts a mixture of young professionals and college students. The bar is filled by a young crowd turning out to have a good time on the weekends, and enjoy themselves with a little music and some standard American grub. Well-scrubbed youths pile in to cut loose, and one of the first things you'll notice about the crowd at Tonic is how happy everyone is to be there.
