Whether you know what you're looking for, or you're looking for a clue, here's your place
By Pat Irish / Outreach Coordinator
It's almost here. In a mere two weeks, a dark shadow will engulf the entire Boston College campus. Demons will terrorize the Mods, ghosts will lurk in the Dustbowl, and vampires shall have their choice of dining. For one night, chaos and havoc will blow in the wind.

4 Stars Alicia Keys Unplugged (J Records) Back in 2002, the MTV-inspired Unplugged series, which was created to place artists outside of the realm of their artistic comfort, was at a crossroad. With the release of Lauren Hill's Unplugged Version 2.0, the series had surely stretched the limits of its mission by placing the then queen of hip-hop on a stage performing a collection of new material with an acoustic guitar, an instrument Hill admittedly was still getting used to.

When samples of M.I.A.'s music first hit the Web late last year, hipsters and bloggers worked themselves into a lather over the young rapper from Sri Lanka whose dense, inventive songs suggested, among other things, her ambiguous stance on terrorism.

4 Stars Green Street Hooligans Dir. by Lexi Alexander Freestly Reasoning Green Street Hooligans, while covered in blood from start to finish, appeals to the viewers' emotions effectively through the relationship between Matt Buckner and Pete Dunham, portrayed by Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam, respectively.

The Liquor Store 25 Boyleston Pl. Boston (617) 357-6800 Open Fri. - Sat. 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. The Liquor Store is an expensive bar. That's the first thing you'll notice (if you can even get in, as the line sometimes travels all the way down the alley). But if you have money and are looking for a different experience, the Liquor Store is a good deal.

Asahi 418 Market St. Brighton (617)562-6333 The nice thing about Asahi is its location. Located in Brighton on Market Street, it's just a quick left off Washington Street (if you're coming from Boston College). What's more is that there is ample free parking in the back, put there by the very considerate town of Brighton.

Da Ali G Show: Da Compleet Second Seazon (NR, HBO) It's by some kind of miracle that a show like Da Ali G Show, hosted by British gangsta wannabe Ali G (Sacha Baron Cohen), exists. How else to explain Ali's ability not only to land interviews with Sam Donaldson and Pat Buchanan, but to actually see these interviews to completion with straight faces all around? The wanksta persona is funny in and of itself, but Cohen's real gift comes in his ability to ask a horrifically dumb question (to a K9 officer: "When they actually find a bomb, how long does it take the dog to diffuse it?"), get a real answer, and follow up that answer, on the spot, with something similarly stupid.
the perfect songs to express your deepest emotions to the online world

It started out just me and my fellow early riser whipping up chocolate chip pancakes on a weekend morning, eating them as fast as we made them, and gossiping about what happened the night before. Then one of the boys turned out to be not only an early riser, but a momma's boy who puppy-faced his way into his own stack of pancakes.

So what happens on campus on the weekends after you leave the party? You go to the after party at Corcoran Commons, of course. Where else can you see every person you just partied with furiously eating fried chicken and trying to avoid falling down?

Ludacris likes fried chicken. So does Snoop. But not all black people like fried chicken. This might seem obvious, but apparently no one told Fuzzy Zoeller. At the 1997 Masters, Tiger Woods became the first African-American to win a major professional golf tournament.
