Students react to news that women at prominent schools may plan to stay at home

Women swell the ranks of prestigious universities across the nation. The student body of Tufts University is 53 percent female. Georgetown University is 54 percent female. Dartmouth and Cornell are both exactly 50 percent female, according to the Princeton Review.

As you run on the treadmill at the Plex with your iPod, US Weekly, and liter-sized Poland Springs water bottle in hand, you tell yourself not to do it. Don't look at the screen. Don't look. You shouldn't have to know the exact number of calories, seconds, and miles per hour of your workout.

Campion Hall, home of the Lynch School of Education, is named after St. Edmund Campion, who was born in England in 1540. Campion became a Catholic martyr in 1581, and he, called the "Pope's Champion," was canonized in 1970 by Pope Paul VI. Campion was born into a Catholic family and was educated at Oxford, where he earned the reputation as a great orator.

Ah, Homecoming. That annual tradition meant to celebrate the ... coming home of ... somebody. I actually have no idea what Homecoming is supposed to mean, but it's usually a good excuse to have a few drinks, enjoy a few laughs, and most importantly, dine on delectable dishes.
