The baseball team capped off a stellar weekend on Sunday with an 11-5 defeat of Wake Forest in Chestnut Hill. Apparently, Saturday night's 17-inning marathon didn't fatigue the Eagles, who exploded for 18 hits in the afternoon.

The Boston College Eagles baseball team will fight to defend its Beanpot title against the Northeastern Huskies baseball squad this Wednesday at Fenway Park. Last Thursday afternoon BC defeated the Harvard Crimson by a 5-2 score behind a dominant pitching performance from senior right-hander Ted Ratliff.

What began as an emotional day also ended as one for the softball team. No. 22 Georgia Tech finished a three-game sweep of the Eagles at Shea Field, clubbing four home runs en route to a 12-0 five-inning rout. The Yellow Jackets extended their season-high winning streak to 10 games, and broke their own ACC single-season record for home runs in one season with 76 homers for the year thus far.
Men fall to Clemson, women to Florida State to end season

Men's and women's tennis competed in the ACC Championships this weekend at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.. Boston College's men's squad played its opening round match against the Clemson Tigers, and fell by a score of 4-0.

Boston College's Men's and Women's track and field squad competed in the ACC track and Field Championships in College Park, Maryland. Both teams struggled to compete with the other squads, as the men collected only four points in the competition and finished in 12th place, and the women's squad collected 18 points and also finished in the 12th spot.

The basketball program held its annual year-end Roundball Club Banquet on Sunday afternoon at the Newton Marriott. Senior co-captain Jared Dudley and upcoming junior captain John Oates were among the afternoon's award winners.

Nearing the end of the season, women's lacrosse suffered a disappointing 13-6 loss at the hands of the seventh-ranked Virginia Cavaliers (13-3, 3-2 ACC) in Newton, Mass. on Saturday. Elizabeth Kadison and Lauren Costello starred for the Eagles, notching two goals each, while Rachel Tinquist and Margot Spatola also registered goals.
