This year's Welles Remy Crowther Service Award was presented to Becky Camacho, A&S '07. On hand to present the award was the mother and sister of Welles, Alison and Paige Crowther.

Graduate school adds new concentrations to improve student options

Students graduating from the Boston College School of Social Work this spring will be the first to have completed a new curriculum recently developed to better prepare students for work in the professional world. Changes to the curriculum include the addition of four new concentrations and a lessening of the gap between macro and clinical fields of study.

The Undergraduate Government of Boston College president-elect Jenniffer Castillo, A&S '08, and vice president-elect Daniel Sievers, A&S '08, are taking over the student government like a pair of CEOs resuscitating an often-criticized company: They have consolidated an organization of 98 members down to 78 by cutting 20 positions, and they also plan to modernize a campus by replacing fliers with plasma screens.
