Clark was avid skier, snowboarder, surfer

Boston College student Benjamin Clark, A&S '11, died unexpectedly in his family's Cape Cod summer home on Sunday. Clark, originally of Simsbury, Conn., was an avid skier, snowboarder, and surfer. Those at BC offer sympathy, condolences, and prayers to Benjamin's friends and family.

Event part of CSON-sponsored colloquium

In the first of eight colloquia to be sponsored by the Connell School of Nursing, Michael Dukakis spoke at Boston College on Monday on the necessity of universal health care coverage in America. Dukakis, a native of Brookline and graduate of Harvard Law, boasts an impressive political résumé: He has served four terms as a Massachusetts state legislator, served as Massachusetts governor in 1974, 1982, and 1986, won the Democratic nomination for the presidency in 1988 but lost to George Bush, and since 1991 has taught as a political science professor at both Northeastern and UCLA.

For Boston College juniors, the appeals of off-campus living are numerous: having a house, and paying rent is a refreshing break from dorm life.
