With Wicked ending its exciting two-month run at the Opera House on Nov. 11, it's time to explore what the rest of the 2007-08 Broadway season in Boston has to offer. This year's lineup of professional tours stopping at the Colonial Theatre proves especially exciting, as it is jam-packed with audience favorites.

After a three-year absence from the recording industry (if her 2005 album B in the Mix: The Remixes is excluded), Britney Spears has finally returned to the music scene with the freshly cut Blackout. In contrast to her previous fame, her current music career has been over-shadowed by her destructive personal life; it has made her a running joke in the media.

When it rains, it pours. No statement has been truer for fans of crime dramas this fall. With Gone Baby Gone, We Own the Night, and Eastern Promises all making formidable dents at the box office, it is hard to tell when audiences will grow tired of watching cops take down criminals.

It has been a rough week for two of televisions most loved personalities. Hugh Laurie, better known as curmudgeonly Dr. House, returned to work this Monday after taking a sudden trip home to England, where his wife Jo and three children live, on Oct. 25. At the time, a representative for the show said he was attending to "family obligations.

The September 2007 cover of Rolling Stone had 50 Cent and Kanye W est stoically staring at each other with the title: "Showdown! 50 Cent vs. Kanye West: Who will be the king of hip-hop?" Both artists' albums have been released - 50's Curtis being drastically inferior to West's almost-awesome Graduation - and neither is worthy to wear the crown of "king of hip-hop.

The historical significance of Soulja Boy (pictured left) is not hard to divine. After the abrupt and tragic exodus of Jibbs from musical relevance, Soulja Boy selflessly filled the gaping void in our lives that only a teenage novelty rapper could. Most importantly, at a time when America's river of submissive creativity had seemingly run dry, a savior emerged to bestow his messianic wisdom upon us.

Bags to Riches

Buying handbags and accessories is just another way for girls to squander away the money that they should be saving to buy next semester's textbooks. It just feels so good to get the instant gratification of a new Fendi clutch or a fabulous pair of Prada sunglasses.

Nestled in Newton, the Sapporo Japanese and Korean Restaurant seems to be a place that locals know well. Located right across the street from the Newton T stop in a basement space not easily visible from the street, Sapporo seems the ideal spot for Friday night takeout or a quick meal when getting in late from work.

1. Sweet enuff: BC bOp! The classy jazz band is performing this Friday in the Cabaret Room on the first floor of Vanderslice Hall at 8 p.m. The talented group always entertains with their renditions of all the old favorites. If the musical enticement isn't enough, there promises to be some delicious desserts and even swing dancing for those who attend.
The Wall

What a week it has been with crazy Halloween sightings and riots in the streets of Boston. Oh, and it's nearly impossible to study now that we've finished midterms, too. You might feel like you've hit a wall for the semester but never fear. Think of the great time at The Wall (or wherever you inhabited this summer), mix up a frozen treat and you'll be back on top in no time.
