Even if you have yet to be hit by the flood of Facebook group invites, the fact will soon be hard to ignore: The race for the Undergraduate Government of Boston College (UGBC) president and vice president is officially on. Committee releases off-campus report detailing problems

A new report released Monday by the Undergraduate Government of Boston College (UGBC) Senate Select Committee on off-campus policies delivers an investigative analysis regarding the current off-campus policies and situation. Titled "Off-Campus Life at Boston College," the report represents the culmination of almost three months of research, giving students and administrators what the committee hopes will be a fuller view what goes on off campus.

Around this time last year, a fire broke out in an apartment on Aberdeen Street, killing two Boston University students. The culprit of the accident was a candle, and the two residents of the apartment were unable to rouse from sleep and escape. One cannot help but wonder what the likelihood is of this happening at BC.

Hundreds of Colombian supporters gathered in Government Center on Monday to join in an international protest against the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), calling for peace and an end to the guerrilla group with a 44-year history of violence in Colombia.
