Though the night was chilly, it was not the wind that left goose bumps on the skin of those who attended last night's "Take Back the Night." It was the stories of three survivors of rape and sexual assault and their openness to convey the hurt, frustration, fear, and confusion that they felt.
Researchers earn a collective $2.5 million

This year, five Boston College faculty members have received early-career awards from the National Science Foundation (NSF) recognizing and supporting their commitment to scholarship and education. Five assistant professors - Steve Bruner (chemistry), Vidya Madhavan (physics), David Martin (computer science), Noah Snyder (geology and geophysics) and Stella Yu, a Clare Booth Luce assistant professor of computer science - have been awarded this high distinction.

Parents across the country have finally figured out what students at Boston College have known all along: BC is great place to go to school. In a recent nationwide survey released by The Princeton Review and published in the book The Best 361 Colleges by Robert Franek, BC ranked sixth as the university that parents considered a dream school for their children.

(U-WIRE) MUNCIE, Ind.-Ball State University junior Paul Grant found something amiss last summer when he accessed Wikipedia. "Somebody had erased everything under 'China' and put 'A bunch of chinks live there,'" he said. That didn't deter him from using the popular online encyclopedia, however, and he still uses it two or three times a week, he said.
