Ever since John F. Kennedy's successful bid for the Presidency, questions about the relevance of a politician's religious faith have been relegated to questions about his or her race. Why, the current climate of political correctness asks, does it matter whether a politician is Christian or Muslim any more than whether he or she is black or white? We should embrace all forms of diversity, we are told, because all forms of diversity are equal and worthy of our praise.

"Every Christmas it's the same," says Peanuts character Shermy in "A Charlie Brown Christmas," irritated that he has been cast once again as a shepherd in the school Christmas pageant. I can relate. Though I was never cast as a shepherd in a Christmas play during my grade school years, I did have the opportunity to portray a star, a sheep, and a bellhop at the inn where Mary and Joseph were infamously turned away.

I celebrated the last standardized test I thought I would ever take on my last day of high school in May of 2005. After taking three versions of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS), the PSAT, the SATs, and several AP tests, I was blindly misguided in thinking that my entrance into college meant an end to filling in bubble sheets.

"Fusion" review prudish and insensitive I was bothered by the overwhelmingly negative review given to Dance Ensemble's Fusion ("Dance 'Fusion' Storms Robsham," Dec. 3). My objections refer mostly to Mr. Neese's discomfort with the level of sexual energy present in the show.
