Michael Racanelli, A&S '14, was found dead in his Foster Street apartment today. The cause of death has not yet been released, but the Boston Police have ruled out foul play.
Racanelli was a member of the club lacrosse team and was recovering from a collarbone injury incurred last month at the time of his death.
"We offer our condolences to the Racanelli family, and especially to Michael's brother, Matthew, who is a freshman at BC," University Spokesman Jack Dunn said in a statement.
Two of Racanelli's cousins – Anthony Racanelli, A&S '15, and Nicholas Racanelli, CSOM' 13, are also students.
In an e-mail sent out to all students, The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs said that it has made its staff and Campus Ministry's staff available tonight in the residence halls.
