No Rules, Just Death

I write as someone who was in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001, and who watched the Twin Towers burn.

I was deeply moved by the report of a “mob” of jubilant students rampaging through campus and invading the library with chants of, “U!S!A!” and “America can’t be stopped.”  Indeed, with thousands of U.S. soldiers dead in Iraq and Afghanistan, and with between 100,000 and 400,000 Iraqis also dead (not to mention numerous infractions of U.S. and international law), I completely agree with the student who shouted “Osama’s dead!  No Rules!”

Hooray.  Now we can add Osama bin Laden to the long list of people our government has killed.
