The Eagles have won three consecutive Beanpot championships in a variety of different ways. Here’s a look back at the twists and turns of BC’s path to three straight trophies.
Northeastern outshot the No. 3 Eagles, but a hat trick by Makenna Newkirk and two goals by Daryl Watts, the nation’s leading scorer, lifted them to their sixth-straight Beanpot Final.
Toni Ann Miano recorded a hat trick—the first of the senior defenseman’s career—in the first period alone and tacked on the game-winning goal in overtime to send BC home with a bounce-back victory.
For the second straight night, Andie Anastos piloted an overtime victory. This time, the senior captain gathered a loose puck and flung a shot past Brittany Bulgalksi, lifting the Eagles over Northeastern and atop the Hockey East.
