Boston College will allow two guests per undergraduate at the Class of 2021 Commencement and school diploma ceremonies on May 24, as well as at the Baccalaureate Mass the day before.
Many seniors were left disappointed on Tuesday after University President Rev. William P. Leahy, S.J., announced that guests will not be allowed at BC’s in-person Commencement for the Class of 2021.
Elections for the Undergraduate Government of Boston College’s Senate, previously known as the Student Assembly (SA), will be held on Thursday.
The Class of 2021 is larger than the sophomore class size by almost 100 students, and more rising juniors applied to live on campus than in previous years, contributing to the limited housing availability.
“The needs that led to the original creation of the Lynch Honors Program, as with the other Honors programs at Boston College, no longer exist,” an email sent on Wednesday to students in the program said.
Golinkin said the major conflict during his time at BC was the construction of a fence around the Mods.
