On Tuesday, we learned that Chelsea Clinton is expecting her first child sometime in the fall. On the same day, American society regressed about 50 years. Both conservative and liberal media stations launched stories about the implications the new baby would have on Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for the 2016 presidential election.

After the tragedy at last year’s Boston Marathon, the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) and Boston Police Department plan to enforce tighter security restrictions to ensure that an incident of last year’s nature does not occur again. While some of the rules are necessary to maintain a safe environment for runners and spectators alike, the BAA announced a new rule that I cannot comprehend-the prohibition of bandit runners from participating in the 118th Boston Marathon.

When studying the debate over the minimum wage, I began to consider the effects of campus wages at Boston College. Year after year, on-campus prices increase. Football games, theater productions, and charity events are additional costs that are not factored into a semester’s tuition. These costs can be quite a heavy burden. As our nation looks to increase the minimum wage, student employees should join the movement to increase their on-campus wages.

While most Boston College students choose to take internships in Boston, many want a change of scenery and move to America’s most famous metropolis, just four hours south. Although New York City may be intimidating, it is my belief that every American should live in the city for some portion of his or her life.

A couple of weeks ago a friend asked me to join her at a prayer service dedicated to the Campus School. She told me that the future of the Campus School was in jeopardy and that it would be a great opportunity to voice my support. I did not know much about the Campus School controversy. I decided to go to the prayer service and learn more about it.
