At Boston College, fashion trends tend to coincide with the unpredictable New England weather. Whether you have a love for thrifting or high-end retail, the weather transitions that occur throughout the academic year call for similar transitions in students’ clothing.
To see where Boston College–employed students spend their money, I reached out to 14 different students who are actively working on campus to hear the ways in which they spend their cash. The question I asked my participants was simple: “Where does the money from your paycheck go?”
It would be difficult to find a Boston College student who, by the end of their four years, has never taken a trip to one of Chestnut Hill’s local grocery stores. For the majority of these students, the art of grocery shopping is one that is tough to master and sometimes takes years to perfect.
No one wants to test positive for COVID-19 and be sent to Pine Manor, but I hope my tips and tricks can help make the transition and experience a little more pleasant. Keeping an open mind, staying flexible, and trying to stay positive about testing positive will make the experience much better and allow you to survive Pine Manor in stride.
