Facing outward toward Commonwealth Avenue, a crowd of protesters, including BC students and Jesuits, covered the lawn of St. Ignatius Church on Sunday afternoon.
BC and the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding.
Susan Tohn, a professor in the Boston College School of Social Work, and Sarah Castricum, senior instructional developer at the Center for Teaching Excellence, collaborated on “Cultivating Courageous Classroom Conversations,” part of BC’s International Education Week.
“Throughout the nearly 13 years of his public, Christian social ministry, King so attuned himself to the word of God, as to recover and to exercise the biblical vocation of prophecy for his country, our country, indeed, for the world.” Theology professor M. Shawn Copeland said.
Mark Massa, who is currently the dean of the School of Theology and Ministry, will take over Alan Wolfe’s position as director of the Boisi Center.
