Classes Canceled Monday, Bus Service To End Early

The University announced early this morning that classes have been canceled for today, Feb. 2. On Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday night until 1 a.m. Tuesday morning for Winter Storm Linus.

Snow accumulation of up to 14 inches is expected. The National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning when six or more inches of snow are expected to fall in a 12 hour period, or eight or more inches in a 24 hour period.

Wind gusts will reach speeds of up to 35 mph. Snow started falling a little after midnight, developing into heavy snow around 3 a.m.

Bus service is schedule to stop today at 12 p.m.
