Machine Gun Kelly is not Quite ‘At His Best’ and More in Singles This Week

Feels Right – Leo Kalyan

“Feels Right,” the new single from up-and-coming London singer-songwriter Leo Kalyan, is a fresh R&B number about being content in the unknown. The solid bass, the guitar backing, and the electronic arrangements make it a piece good enough to remind us to keep an eye on Kalyan.

Chanel – Frank Ocean

Ocean debuted the first solo track after his 2016 releases, and it is everything but disappointing. “Chanel” follows the same melancholic vibe of many of the songs in Blonde, but its lyrical audacity goes even further. In “Chanel,” Ocean talks about a guy he dates who has “two sides,” just as the “Chanel” logo: “My guy pretty like a girl/And he got fight stories to tell/I see both sides like Chanel.”

At My Best – Machine Gun Kelly

“At My Best” confirms Machine Gun Kelly’s commitment to the male-rapper-with-female-singer formula, which proved to be extremely successful with his earlier number “Bad Things.” “At My Best,” however, lacks the originality and catchiness of its predecessor. In a nutshell, it just sounds like every other pop song.
