Despite holding the Eagles to zero shots on goal, No. 1 Virginia played to a 1-1 overtime draw thanks to a second half own goal and excellent goaltending from BC’s Christian Garner.
The Eagles weren’t able to find the scoreboard for the second straight game, conceding late in both halves and losing to Pittsburgh, 2-0, Friday night at home to start 0-2 in ACC play.
Behind goals from fresh faces in Alex Mieles and Mike Suski, BC broke a 1-1 tie and pulled away from the visiting Friars in its first action of the fall.
