Riham Osman, the director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council’s (MPAC) national digital media and communications strategy, gave the keynote address about accepting identity and making a difference.
Riham Osman began her career as an activist for Muslims after facing employment discrimination for wearing a hijab. She will address students at the Own It Summit on Nov. 12.
“This formula and format has proven successful with this year’s summit and its tripled participation rates. Applying it to these other student interest groups would help develop increasingly worthwhile BC events and promote these groups’ goals.”
It was great to see the Own It Summit come to Boston College, and we hope that more important discussions and events like this one are hosted on campus in the future.
