“My work is very much about luxury and pools and champagne,” she said. “At the same time, it equally critiques these power structures that expose all of these differences. I think it gives permission especially to women to mold reality the way that they want it to be molded.”
“It’s very rare that you will do a class where you get to read this stuff and then get some actual experience of going through it yourself,” Sapsford said. “It’s an exciting course.”
“Being successful in the publishing world requires an enormous amount of luck,” Fay said. “I personally know plenty of good manuscripts that have not been published, and we’ve all read terrible books that have made it through. I feel very lucky to have been able to have the career that I have.”
“Dryfter, as succinctly as possible, is a dedicated housing platform for remote workers,” Brett said. “People are going to want to spend extended periods of time in cool and interesting geographies across the U.S., and they want to make sure that wherever they are, whatever property they’re at, regardless of the size of the group, it’s well equipped for working from home.”
“The way in which we conduct our business truly has the heart and minds and best interest of others at hand,” Giovanniello said. “We work with patients and students who may not otherwise have a voice for themselves. … We can do well as a company, but the way that we are going to do well is by doing good.”
“I think I was always really interested in politics and the context of politics, particularly international relations and foreign policy, you know, how countries relate to one another, why they choose to make peace with one another or go to war,” Krause said.
“I think the reason I actually decided to go all in on my business was the fact that I just graduated when the world was in shambles,” Rozynek said. “It allowed me to experience this feeling of fearlessness which I never really felt before.”
“It’s kind of like the engineering of the social sciences, so you just crunch the numbers like the engineers, but you talk about it, and you try to make good public policy,” Erbil said. “The very short talk with [my family friend] made a big influence on me.”
“But it was honestly so fun, I had so much adrenaline from it, because I kind of conserved my energy from Heartbreak Hill to zoom down Comm. Ave.,” Yee said. “I loved seeing everyone, my friends started running down Comm. Ave. with me and just cheering and yelling, and then I was going over to everyone’s like clapping hands and everything.”
“I get lost in it,” Packie said. “It puts you right in the moment. If I’m carving a fox, I’ll think about the foxes I see, or I’ll look at videos for reference and [try to understand] what the animal is thinking.”
