After an excellent senior season for the Eagles, Dan Metzdorf was selected in the fifth round of the MLB draft Tuesday by the Chicago White Sox. The senior went 8-2 with a 2.30 ERA in 2019.
Through seven starts, BC freshman righthander Mason Pelio is 4-1 with a 1.64 ERA and has impressed against ACC’s elite, quickly establishing himself as the Eagles’ top pitcher and one of the best in the conference.
Louisville southpaw Adam Wolf struck out 10, allowed a lone run over eight innings, and was backed up by a pair of home runs as BC dropped the first game of the weekend series on Friday night.
